Dieting can be a super bore, and there is a certain mindset that if you are not dieting all the time then you’re letting yourself down. Simply put – this is wrong! You can quite easily diet well on 5 days out of 7 and then still enjoy a few beers with the guys or a dinner with work colleagues without worrying too much about the effect it has had on your weight loss. This way you remain in control of your life and your diet is just a part of your life which can take a back seat to those other things which you find important.
Now this might seem a little bit obvious but it is so important too to remember that dieting isn’t about shutting down access to all of your but rather just making little changes in the way what and and what we eat in such a way that will have a big effect over time! So instead of cutting something completely out of your diet, for example coffee or normal soda, look for alternatives such as diet soda. On top of that do the same with bee by looking for Light beers and switching sugar with sweeteners and the like. By making a number of these small changes you’ll keep enjoying your diet and your life style whilst still losing weight!
Finally, doctors, commercials, friends – they all tell you to drink more, to drink four pints or so a day. Well the thing to remember is that this advised amount of water to intake includes the food you get from food and other drinks, which, in a normal diet, will provide you with nearly everything you need! Now, whilst it might appear that water can’t hurt you because it doesn’t contain anything, over hydrating is a massive problem for dieters as it can just wash out your salts and leave you feeling more tired and depleted.
So, make sure that you don’t forget that life is for living and your diet is just a way to make that life a bit more fun and enjoyable by giving you a healthier body image. Then, don’t the nice things in your life go away as that will completely disincentive you to diet – instead find replacements and finally don’t drink too much or you will feel emaciated and just plain tired!
